Facebook Does it Again

No matter how hard you try, no matter how good of a handle you think you have on the pain and the unfairness of infertility, no matter how good you have been at ignoring the fact that you have a BIG GAPING HOLE in your heart that can only be filled by holding your baby in your arms and knowing this journey is over, things still come along to knock you off your feet.

(Granted, I haven't been trying very hard or been very good at handling the pain or ignoring it lately...)

Once again, facebook caused me to trip and fall over and land flat on my face today. Stupid facebook...

I just found out a person in my life, who isn't married and is lacking financial stability is expecting a 'new addition' due in September....

All I can say is... Unfairness... you have the upper hand... And I hate you for it.

  4. I am right there with you. Just today, a "friend" announced she was pregnant with her 4th. (She got pregnant accidentally right after high school. She's on her 2nd husband as well.) About 8 months ago, I had a status about wanting kids and she of course responded with a "No you don't--they're so much work!!" comment. And of course, she is now expecting a new trick-or-treater.

    And is also on hide.

  13. Unfairness abounds everywhere. Especially with the great fertility jackpot that we seem to have won, I wonder what everyone else is doing so right that they never fumble in this department.

I hope this other person you are talking of understands what bliss has entered her life and gets her act together.

But K, I also always leave margin for one thing - we all have some skeleton hanging on our shoulder. You see her fertility, she might be eyeing your financial independence and super marital bliss. We all have one point of hurt.

  14. I really hate In-Your-Facebook. I had two pregnancy announcements recently and one was from a gal who already had 4 kids and used FB to constantly complain about them. I finally got sick of it and posted, "Be grateful for the children in your lives, for God does not see fit to bless some of us with even one." She never posted about how her kids were driving her insane again. Or at least not that I've seen. But then when she posted she was pregnant, I wanted to scream, "OF COURSE YOU ARE!"

    GGAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
